Chambers of commerce from 13 countries create Kyiv-based international business association
The initiative group of regional chambers of commerce and industry from 13 countries uniting hundreds of thousands of enterprises has created Kyiv-based international business association, the Kyiv Club of Partner Chambers.
Kyiv becomes the center of synergy of the regional chambers of commerce and industry. On June 3, during the Summit of Partner Chambers held at the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the representatives of the chambers of Austria, Belarus, Georgia, Italy, Lithuania, Moldova, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia, the UAE, as well as members of chambers from different regions of Ukraine, identified the practical aspects of activities of the newly created organization. The work of the Kyiv Club of Partner Chambers will be aimed at promoting business needs, its development, skills upgrading, and attracting foreign investors to the regions of Ukraine.
"The meetings [of partner chambers] have been held in Kyiv for over 10 years, and partnerships with many chambers were established more than 30 years ago. At the last year's summit, on the initiative of the Vilnius and the Kyiv chambers of commerce, we jointly signed a memorandum supporting the idea of creation of the Kyiv Club of Partner Chambers. I expect that creation of this club will pave new ways for our business abroad," said Mykola Zasulsky, the president of the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry who was elected as the president of the Kyiv Club of Partner Chambers.
President of the Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Craft, Sigitas Leonavičius, President of the Bratislava Regional Chamber of Commerce Igor Yunas, President of the Zagreb Chamber of Commerce Zlatan Frolich became vice-presidents of the newly formed Club.
As president of the Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts Sigitas Leonavičius commented, the subsequent steps of the organization's development could be the involvement of Ukrainian and Lithuanian politicians, as well as members of the European Parliament, in its activity.
The President of the Italian Chamber for the Balkan countries and Ukraine, Paolo Di Lullo, shared the goal of creating a public association: "Today's event will consolidate ties between businesses in different countries. Ukraine is experiencing difficult times and there is a need to support this business. The system of chambers of commerce and industry has a powerful strength and our responsibility is to support small and medium-sized businesses."
The leaders of the regional chambers of commerce and industry agreed that the next meeting will take place in a year, which will match the results of the year and consider the future prospects of the "KYIV CLUB" of the partner chambers. "
